Searching for Missing People

The Sheriff's Office is seeking information on two unrelated missing persons cases.

Malloum Mboulou Abakar

The Sheriff’s Office is searching for a National Police Officer from the Republic of Chad who went missing Friday, July 27, from a Sterling hotel.

Malloum Mboulou Abakar, 26, was in the area with several other police officers from the Republic of Chad in Africa. The group arrived in the United States July 8 and had attended the FBI Academy in Quantico. The officers graduated from their session at the FBI Academy on Friday and were staying at the Holiday Inn on Route 28.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Abakar was supposed to leave the country on a Sunday morning flight that departed Dulles International Airport at 6 a.m. Abakar did not show up for a Saturday evening meeting and was last seen Friday night at the hotel.

Jennifer Schilling

The Sheriff’s Office continues to search for a missing teenager who possibly threatened to harm herself.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Jennifer Schilling, 16, left her Purcellville home on Harper’s Ferry Road on the night of July 25 sometime after 7 p.m. Jennifer is described as a white female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 135 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. She may be wearing a skull motif necklace.
