The Good Shepherd Alliance’s Thrift Store is now accepting clothes, furniture and appliances a few extra hours per week.
GSA will accept donations from 11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays.
"These extra hours will allow for people to drop off donations after work," said Mark Gunderman, vice chairman of the board.
The thrift store, located off of Davenport Drive in Sterling, accepts a wide range of donations, including clothes, handbags and jewelry, mattresses and box springs, knickknacks, vacuum cleaners, pictures, frames, quilts, curtains and drapes.
Profits from the thrift store go directly to the Women and Children’s Shelter in north Leesburg, family shelters in South Riding and Ashburn, the street outreach program in downtown Leesburg and the future Mary’s House of Hope for Women in Purcellville.
