<sh>Tax Relief Workshops

<bt>Dranesville District seniors and disabled citizens are invited to sign up for more one-on-one help sessions in applying for real estate tax relief. Staff from the Fairfax County Department of Tax Administration will be on hand to aid seniors and disabled citizens in determining if they meet the qualifications for tax relief and aid them in their application. Appointments are available at the Herndon Senior Center on Monday, April 9 beginning at 1p.m. The Herndon Senior Center is located at 873 Grace Street in Herndon. To sign up for an appointment in Herndon, call 703-464-6200. Appointments are available to meet with staff at the Dranesville District office in the McLean Governmental Center on Friday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to1p.m. To sign up for an appointment in McLean, call 703-356-0551.

<sh>Expansion Plans for Teen Center

<bt>The McLean Community Center, the McLean Citizens Association, the McLean Planning Committee, and the McLean Revitalization Corporation invite all McLean residents to public meetings on Wednesday, April 11 in the pod at Spring Hill Elementary School and on Thursday, April 12 in the cafeteria at Longfellow Middle School. Both meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and will address the same topics so residents can choose which one to attend. The McLean Community Center Governing Board will present its proposal for expansion related to the Old Firehouse on Chain Bridge Road and the main building on Ingleside Avenue. The goal of the meeting is to get feedback from the community on the proposal and identify any possible consensus on what to do with the Old Firehouse building.
