Lansdowne Development Group, the developer of Lansdowne Town Center and Lansdowne on the Potomac, activated the first of two traffic signals Aug. 29, scheduled to open within Lansdowne this summer. Lansdowne Development Group, along with Supervisors Mick Staton (R-Sugarland) and Lori Waters (R-Broad Run), flipped the switch to activate the traffic signal located at the Belmont Ridge Road/Riverside Parkway intersection. The second traffic signal, located at the Lansdowne Boulevard/Riverside Parkway intersection, is scheduled to be operational by early September.

Arlington-based IDI has completed the first phase of the fourth high-rise building at Leisure World of Virginia, Riverview, an 11-story building comprising 242 condominium homes. It is the last condominium building on the west side of the Leisure World site, and more than 80 percent of the available units were purchased before occupancy began.
