Vietnam and Iraq Parallels. Al Weed, a Vietnam War veteran, will discuss military and political parallels between the Vietnam and Iraq wars at the 7:30 p.m. meeting of Chapter 227, Vietnam Veterans of America Inc. Weed is a retired Army Command Sergeant Major and served in Bosnia. Workshop. Attend the interactive workshop "Volunteer Management Training: How to Capture Your Audience in 15 Minutes! (or less…)" and enhance presentation skills from 9:30 to noon. Cub Scout Recruitment. Cub Scout Pack 55 will host its "Back-To-Scouting Night" at Forestville Elementary School, 1085 Utterback Store Road, tonight at 7 p.m. The Pack encourages all boys entering first through fourth grades to learn about Cub Scouts. Saint Francis Episcopal Church sponsors Pack 55 which serves boys from Forestville, Great Falls, Colvin Run and Forest Edge Elementary Schools as well as local private schools. Scouts meet approximately once a month as a pack at Forestville Elementary School with additional activities once or twice a month as organized by individual Dens.
