Uniroyal Tire and MerchantÕs Tire & Auto Centers are teaming to provide the Sterling Youth Soccer Association with new soccer balls and funds.
Players from the Sterling Youth Soccer Association will receive a certificate redeemable for a free soccer ball at MerchantÕs Tire & Auto Centers beginning Sept. 25, while supplies last. In addition, Uniroyal and MerchantÕs Tire & Auto Centers will present the league with a cash donation of $2 for every Uniroyal tire sold to the general public from Sept. 25-Oct. 25.

Lansdowne Development Group, the developer of Lansdowne Town Center and Lansdowne on the Potomac, activated the first of two traffic signals Aug. 29, scheduled to open within Lansdowne this summer. Lansdowne Development Group, along with Supervisors Mick Staton (R-Sugarland) and Lori Waters (R-Broad Run), flipped the switch to activate the traffic signal located at the Belmont Ridge Road/Riverside Parkway intersection. The second traffic signal, located at the Lansdowne Boulevard/Riverside Parkway intersection, is scheduled to be operational by early September.
