The Dandelion Patch, a local store specializing in invitations and fine stationery, celebrated its reopening at a new location at 111 Church St. last Wednesday, Oct. 18. Since it opened 12 years ago, the Dandelion Patch had been situated a couple of blocks away on Mill Street. Last year, Vienna resident Heidi Kallett bought the operation, staying on Mill Street until the lease on the property expired about a month ago. The new location is larger than the last, which will enable the store to carry some brand names it did not carry in the past.
Present at the ribbon-cutting were such dignitaries as Mayor Jane Seeman, Del. Steve Shannon (D-35), U.S. Rep. Tom Davis (R-11), state Sen. Jeannemarie Devolites (R-34) and Nancy Lowell, owner of Lallie, one of the brand names carried by the Dandelion Patch. Seeman and others expressed their appreciation for a new specialty business in the historic Church Street area.
