Halloween Candy buy back to benefit Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., hosted by Dr. Tisseront at Tisseront Orthodontics, Saturday, Nov. 4, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., in front of the office at 11720 Plaza America Drive, Suite 110, in the Plaza America Shopping Center off of Sunset Hills Road in Reston.

Dr. Tisseront and his team will pay $2 for each pound of leftover Halloween candy brought in; $1 goes to the one who brings in the candy, and $1 will go to Children’s National Medical Center in D.C. Business and Professional Women of Greater Fairfax will host Dr. Irene Trowell-Harris, Maj. Gen. Northrop Grumman Corporation has named Michael Springman chief information officer for the company’s Mission Systems sector. Springman is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and leadership of all information systems and information technology activities in the Mission Systems sector. Springman joined Northrop Grumman in 1977 and most recently served as division director of battle command for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems.

Reston Hospital Center has joined a state-wide hospital quality initiative coordinated by the Virginia Health Quality Center. The Hospital Quality Initiative – Appropriate Care to Virginians is focused on using hospital best practices and evidence based medicine to provide appropriate and effective care for patients suffering from acute myocardial infarctions, heart failure and pneumonia. Reston Hospital Center is a member of HCA Virginia, a network of locally managed hospitals, surgery centers and outpatient diagnostic and treatment facilities in central, southwest and northern Virginia.
