Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation is founding a new Breast Cancer Support Group for families in the Jewish community. If diagnosed with breast cancer, or perhaps a close loved one has been diagnosed or is living with breast cancer, contact the synagogue at info@nvhcreston.org or 703-437-7733. The group has been formed in order to support individuals and families in the Jewish community affected by breast cancer, raise awareness and education, and speak confidentially as a group, even as members celebrate survivorship together. The group plans to meet every month to six weeks at the synagogue, which is located at 1441 Wiehle Avenue, Reston.
Every Wednesday at noon, St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 432 Van Buren St. in Herndon, offers a lunch-time Prayer and Healing Service.
