Vienna Police responded to a call reporting a bank robbery at the Wachovia Bank on Maple Avenue Friday afternoon, Nov. 17. The call came in just after 3:20 p.m.
"The suspect walked in, produced a note announcing the robbery and made off with an undetermined amount of money," said Vienna Police Capt. Mike Miller. No weapon was displayed. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s, wearing a blue jacket and a red hat.
On Monday evening Miller reported, "We've put the evidence into the lab, and we're looking for evidence to see if it's linked to another robbery in town, but we haven't confirmed that link."
