Robinson Secondary School is in the process of putting on it's fall production: "Radium Girls." Radium Girls is the story of the watchdial painters in the 1920s and 30s when radium first became popular. The girls painted radium onto watchdials to make the numbers glow. They used their lips to give the brushes a tip, however, that also put the radium directly into their bodies.
"Radium Girls" follows the story of one factory worker who, upon falling ill, took her plight to court. This production will take place Nov. 16, 17, and 18 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 presale and $10 online or at the door. For more information visit www.robinsondrama.org or call 703-426-2123.
