Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children and the Reach Out and Read program have partnered with Barnes and Noble to host a four-day book celebration with fun, games, and activities for the entire family, June 1 through 4. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the literary program at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. ‘Buy One Get One’ Book Fair Benefits Maury
Stock up on summer reading materials at the B.O.G.O.! (Buy One Get One!) Scholastic Book Fair, June 9 to 14 at Maury Elementary School, 2601 Cameron Mills Road, Alexandria. Maury students’ families and community members are welcome to shop from a large selection of books for all ages during school hours from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 9, 12, 13 and 14, and also from 6 to 7 p.m. June 12 before the PTA meeting. Checks and credit cards will be accepted.
The Rotary Club of Alexandria’s $2,000 gift to the school will enable each student to spend about $12, which will double in value with the “B.O.G.O.” offer.
