Walk for Life. Catholic Charities’ annual Walk for Life will take place May 20, and 27 at selected sites in Virginia. The walk raises funds for medical assistance, foster care, adoption services and counseling. Walkers may choose from among these dates and locations: May 6 at Paul VI High School in Fairfax, May 20 at Broad Run High School in Ashburn and Fort Hunt Park (Area A) in Alexandria, and May 27 at St. Mary’s Activity Center in Fredericksburg. Participants can obtain registration information on-line at www.ccda.net or by telephone at 703-425-0100 and 540-371-1124. Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. at all sites. The length of the walk ranges from 1.5 to 3 miles. Basic registration is $15. Seniors may register for $10, and a family may register for $40, which covers lunch and four T-shirts.

Faith, Food and Fellowship. Clarendon United Methodist Church, 606 N. Irving St., offers a twice-monthly Thursday noon service for the Arlington community, with one half-hour of spiritual nourishment and one half-hour of physical nourishment. On the second and fourth Thursdays, a worship service is held in the sanctuary at noon, and a hot lunch is serviced at 12:30 p.m. for a donation of $4. A time of fellowship follows from 1:15-2 p.m. with programs geared mostly to senior citizens. J.
