I have been married for nearly 23 years, and have two grown children.

My family and I enjoy eating at Magiannos at the Tysons Galleria, and also at Austin Grill and Pizza Paradiso, which are both in Washington, D.C.

What are your community concerns?

I am concerned about the growth and expansion of Fairfax County and worry about the safety of people traveling to work and school every day. Expanded, affordable mass transit is certainly one way to reduce congestion on local roads.

After graduating from college, I began teaching in Fairfax County and have been an employee of the school system for many years.

What "hidden treasure" do you think more people should know about?

The Town of Clifton has a unique beauty and charm that has been lost in much of this area.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you "grew up?"

I knew many years ago that I wanted to be a teacher and work with elementary age students.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself working as an administrator in Fairfax County either at the school or cluster level.

Personal goals?

I would like to learn to play golf, and also some day attend a Super Bowl in a sunny climate.
