On Saturday, April 22, the Women's Ministry group at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and School in Springfield presented a 'Treasures in Heaven' luncheon and silent auction. The luncheon featured special guest Marni Maree, a watercolor artist from Springfield. Over 150 people participated in the fund-raising event, with over $2,200 donated to the Village of Hope, a charity organization in Ganthier, Haiti. Funds were also raised to support the mission activities of the Holy Comforters, a group dedicated to sewing quilts for global distribution by Lutheran World Relief.
