David H. Stevens has joined the Long & Foster Companies as president of affiliated businesses. Stevens was formerly executive vice president and national wholesale manager with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

In this newly-created position, Stevens will be responsible for mortgage, title and insurance, working directly with the presidents of Prosperity Mortgage Company, Long & Foster Insurance Agency Inc., and Mid-States Title Insurance Agency, Inc. d/b/a Long & Foster Settlement Services.

Stevens brings more than 20 years of mortgage experience to his new role.

Loudoun County's newest home improvement programs will be the topic of a seminar Thursday, June 29, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Sugarland Elementary School, 65 Sugarland Run Drive in Sterling.

Kelly Marrocco of the Loudoun County Department of Family Services will discuss the Loudoun County Home Improvement Program and the Eastern Loudoun Revitalization Program, which are designed to preserve and rehabilitate existing affordable housing.

The programs make funds available to low- and moderate-income families who currently own homes in Loudoun County that need rehabilitation. The seminar is free, but registration required, call Marrocco at 571-258-3819.

Heather L. Elias, a Realtor with Long & Foster in Leesburg, was awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council Inc. of the National Association of Realtors.

Tina M. Kinney with Elegant Home Styling in Leesburg was awarded the designation of Accredited Staging Professional.
