Potomac resident Roger Berliner announced his candidacy for County Council this week. Berliner is seeking the District 1 council seat, currently held by Republican Howie Denis.
“Our county's regulation and oversight of development is in shambles; our streets are in gridlock; our schools desperately need modernizing,” said Berliner in his announcement. “I am grateful that so many community leaders from the 1st District … believe that I offer the kind of dynamic, effective, and independent leadership we need now more than ever to responsibly address these issues.”
Berliner’s steering committee includes former County Executive Neal Potter, former County Council President Bruce Adams, former County Council member Bill Sher, and the Vice Chair of the National Democratic Party, Susie Turnbull.
