The Sterling Annex Community Center, 22084 Shaw Road, is offering Afternoon Fun with Ms. Anne, featuring activities such as cooking, tumbling, science and more, for children. Class runs from Wednesdays, Jan. 18-Feb. 22, from 1-2 p.m. Fee is $54 with $7 supply fee. Preregistration required, call 703-430-6673.

Three new dance classes for preschoolers will begin Jan. 18, at Sterling Annex, 22084 Shaw Road.

* Tiny Dancers Mom and Tot for ages 2 and 3, from 10-10:45 a.m., is an introduction to ballet that includes custom-made costumes and props to encourage dancing to story interpretations.

* Creative Movement to Music for ages 3 and 4, from 11-11:45 a.m., a fun and motivating movement class for boys and girls that incorporate dance techniques with costumes to promote individual expression.

* Tiny Dancers Hip Hop for ages 4 and 5, 12-12:45 p.m., basic techniques of tap and jazz are introduced through the use of stories, costumes and props.

Claude Moore Park is offering several preschool classes varying in subjects from birds to snow to foxes. The park has a parent/child class for 2-year-olds and for 2- and 3-year-olds together Jan. 20 focusing on foxes and their winter habitat. On Jan. 27, there is a parent/child class for 3- and 4-year-olds that will explore the winter woods. Also available are several drop-off classes for preschoolers, ages 3-5 years, including ÒHooray for Blue Jays!Ó on Jan. 19. Normally, two classes are offered per day.

Douglass Community Center will be holding two different sessions of a Latin ballroom dance workshop. The class is for ages 14 and older and no partner is required.

Class will meet for six sessions, either on Mondays, from Jan. 23-Feb. 27 or Fridays, from Jan. 27-March 3. Each class meets from 7-8 p.m., in the multipurpose room at the Douglass Community Center in Leesburg. Cost is $60 per person.

An AARP driving safety class will be offered at the Senior Center at Cascades Marketplace, 21060 Whitfield place, Sterling, Wednesday, Jan. 25 and Friday, Jan. 27, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., each day. The Sterling Annex, 22084 Shaw Road, is holding a basket workshop, Saturday, Feb. 18, from 9:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Cost $28 for Loudoun residents and $42 for nonresidents, plus $15 supply fee. Preregistration required, call 703-430-6673. Participants must bring scissors, bucket, towel, measuring tape, pencil, ice pick or awl and spring-type clothespins.

Crop Till You Drop Saturday, Feb. 25, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at the Leesburg Senior Center. Consultants will be on hand to help motivate and offer advice. Participants will learn how to use stamps, punches and other tools of the trade. $30 fee includes individual table and light snacks. Box lunch from Tuck In CafŽ is available for $7. Fee does not include any scrap booking materials.

All proceeds of the event will benefit the Douglass Community Center Advisory Board, which helps support the activities and programs of the Douglass Community Center and need-based scholarships to students in the daycare and preschool programs.

Lunch Bunch Afternoons are being offered by the Sterling Annex, 22084 Shaw Road, featuring crafts, outdoor and indoor play and lunch for children. Bring bag lunch, no microwaveable or refrigerated foods. Classes follow the Loudoun County Public Schools' schedule and meet Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Drop in fee $5 per hour. On every first and third Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m., Sterling Library, 120 Enterprise St., offers ESL basic computer skills needed for Internet, e-mail and word processing. A Better Way to Fitness LLC offers a new, total-body fitness program designed to get moms and dads fit and toddlers play. Dance 'N Play classes will be offered at Douglass Community Center Thursdays, at 9:30 a.m., classes will last
