The next home buyer education workshop sponsored by the Loudoun County Department of Family Services is Tuesday, Sept. 12, and Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Cascades Library, 21030 Whitfield Place in Potomac Falls.
The county provides the workshops to assist potential first-time home buyers in understanding the home-buying process. The six-hour workshop covers a number of topics relating to home ownership, including budgeting, credit, working with Realtors, the mortgage process and what to expect at settlement.
The workshops are held several times throughout the year over a two-evening time period, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at different locations. Attendance at both sessions is required. A schedule of workshop dates and locations is posted on the Loudoun County Government Web site at www.loudoun.gov/housing.
