Sara Fleishman of Potomac performed "Venetian Boat Song," Op. 19, No. 6 by Felix Mendelssohn during a studio piano recital on April 20 at University of Findlay. She is a 2001 graduate of Winston Churchill High School, the daughter of Amy and H. Kenneth Fleishman and a junior equestrian studies major.
Jocelyn Rheem of Potomac is studying with the Institute for the International Education of Students at the University of Adelaide in Australia. Rheem, a 2004 graduate of Connelly School of the Holy Child, is currently a junior history and political science double major at Denison University.
Marian Goddard of Bethesda recently participated in the annual Mount David Summit, a campus-wide exposition of student academic work at Bates College. Goddard, a junior English major, is the daughter of Ellen Kohn and Claude Goddard. A dean's list student, she served as a junior adviser in a first-year dormitory. She is a 2003 graduate of St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac.
Jonathan Parsons, son of Leslie and Ila Parsons of Potomac, was recently inducted into the national freshman honor society, Phi Eta Sigma, at Lynchburg College. Parsons is a graduate of Winston Churchill High School and a nursing major.
Juliana Cole, daughter of Timothy and Judith Cole of Potomac, was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Earlham College on May 6. Cole majored in philosophy.
James Riviere, a graduate of Saint Andrews Episcopal School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Wooser on May 15. Riviere was the founder and president of the Multi-Cultural Film Society. A philosophy major, Riviere is a resident of Bethesda.
Jeffrey Lee of Potomac received a two Bachelor of Science degrees in economics and sociology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and with High Distinction In Economics.
Marie Christine Berninger of North Potomac graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with honors from Lafayette College. Berninger participated in Sigma Xi, a scientific research society.
Lauren Elizabeth Puca graduated from University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a minor in business from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. She was President of the Communications Club and was a 2002 graduate of Winston Churchill High School. Her parents are Anthony and Lorraine Puca of Potomac.
Scott Reina of Rockville, a rising junior majoring in finance in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, has received the Wachovia Leadership Scholarship.
Alexis Renee Beveridge of Bethesda, was named to the dean's list at Lafayette College for the 2006 spring semester. She is part of the class of 2009.
