An investigation into a runaway case reportedly turned up a whole slew of crimes and resulted in the arrest of two, 26-year-old men. They are Joshua Brandon Tart of 13110 Point Pleasant Drive in Chantilly and Miguel Angelo Castro of 8501 Allentown Road, Fort Washington, Md.
According to Fairfax County police, on April 1 around 3 a.m., a City of Fairfax detective discovered that a runaway was staying at the Fairfield Inn on Corsair Court in Chantilly. Since the hotel was in their jurisdiction, Fairfax County officers responded to the scene and found a 16-year-old-girl with the two men — both 10 years older than her.
"Investigation [allegedly] revealed that the men and girl were using the Internet to facilitate a prostitution business," say police. "Illegal narcotics were also [reportedly] discovered inside the hotel room."
Tart was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, producing sexually explicit material, pandering, distributing marijuana to a minor, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Castro was charged with pandering, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of marijuana.
The teen-age girl was taken into protective custody. Both Tart and Castro are being held without bond at the Adult Detention Center and have May 26 court dates.
