Even though temperatures continue to be high, there are signs that fall is here — including the beginning of fall fairs and bazaars. From now until Thanksgiving, the weekends will be filled with church and school fall festivals, all of which have their own special flavor.
This past weekend, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church held their Annual Craft Fair. A couple of dozen vendors displayed jewelry, linens and other gift selections. Vendors donated gifts for the door prize, making for many lucky winners. On the grill, volunteers cooked up sausages, hot dogs and burgers and inside was held a bake sale.
On Sunday, Paul Spring Retirement Community held its Fall Fair. About a dozen crafters showed off their wares to the residents and their guests. In addition, guests were served a buffet of barbecue items and enjoyed dancing by Mac Macall and his dancers. Children had plenty with do with games, face painting and a petting zoo. A raffle was also held for the guests.
