The Rotary Club of Herndon, Millennium Bank and the Council for the Arts of Herndon kicked off their literacy program, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, Saturday following the Homecoming Parade. The project will supply every registered child from birth until their fifth birthday one book a month for free. The goal of the project is to increase literacy in children, help them reach maximum reading potential by kindergarten and increase reading between children and their parents. To participate children must be between birth and five years old and live within the Town of Herndon. There are no income requirements for this program. Registration forms are available at the Herndon branch of Millennium Bank, 1051 Elden Street, and the Herndon Fortnightly Library, 768 Center Street.
