The grounds were too wet for the Pony Rides and the Pumpkin Patch, but with a little juggling the rest of the events at the Burgundy Fall Fair went off without a hitch. Children enjoyed the Xtreme Moonbounce and games inside the gym, while tents provided cover for the food and Burgundy Mart. Outside, children enjoyed making scarecrows, mastering the climbing wall, getting their faces painted, painting pumpkins and checking out the dress-up corral.
Inside, there was plenty of entertainment for young and old, including Story Time, Barn Yard Visit, Scavenger Hunt and the show put on by Burgundy students and alumni.
“It looked to me to be as good if not better than previous years,” said Maggie J. Szymanek, director of Development and Communications. “The fair is our community-builder and it was a smashing success, as it brought in people from all over the community to our campus — lots of alumni from all ages, neighborhood residents, families.”
Final results are not yet in, but all money raised will go to Burgundy’s Financial Aid Scholarship Fund.
