Herndon area residents celebrated the arts last week through the Council for the Arts of Herndon's Arts Week.
The week-long event featured everything from children's activities at the start of the week to a closing cocktail party over the weekend.
Throughout the week residents had the chance to listen to folk music at the Tortilla Factory through the Folk Club of Reston/Herndon and watch independent films. They also could sit in on a literary event where six local area authors read their stories in the Worldgate Centre lobby and later signed their books, or watch a free dance performance of companies ranging from classical ballet to modern and salsa dancing.
