Herndon High School seniors celebrated National Merit achievements Monday afternoon. Carter Dewey and Carol White were recently named as National Merit semifinalists and Ashley Griggs was named a semifinalist in the National Achievement Program. Additionally, Daniel Claff, Nabeel Elnahal, Joseph Emswiler, Samantha Gordon, Sean Grimes, Jason Lee, Jill MacDougall, Aron O’Connor, Paul O’Doherty, Kathryn Ozimek, Philip Richardson, Christopher Takahashi, David Theurer, Jin Hi Werner, Galadreal Williams, and Sarah Zlotnick were named Commended Students through the program. Annette Agyemang was recognized as an Outstanding Participant by the National Achievement program and Whitney Morgan was recognized by the National Hispanic Recognition Program.
