Fall is a beautiful time of year in the Loudoun Valleys, with views of the Blue Ridge, Short Hill and Sugarloaf Mountains. It is also a time to visit some of Loudoun County's working farms and vineyards. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16, enjoy a free self-guided tour down tree-lined country roads to privately-owned local farms.
See cows and calves, horses, sheep, pigs and other animals. Choose apples, pumpkins, flowers, herbs and more from the bounty of the fall harvest. Tour a winery, talk to the proprietors about the grapes and wines, and learn why Loudoun's wines are winning awards and making news throughout the United States wine industry. Enjoy the colors, people and products of the Loudoun Valleys.
Brochures for the Farm Color Tour, including a map and directions to all participating farms, are available at Loudoun County libraries and community centers, the Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association in Leesburg, and area businesses.
Tour information is also available at www.LoudounFarms.org, or call the Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association at 1-866-771-7697.
