League of Reston Artists presents its Annual Juried Theme Exhibition at Walker and Company in Reston. This year’s theme is "Edges." This exhibition features juried works of contemporary fine art by LRA members. $300 in prize money will be presented at the opening reception awards ceremony by this year’s judge, Robert Cole. The exhibition runs through Saturday, Dec. 3. This exhibition is free and open to the public. The League of Reston Artists presents, "i found your photo," a benefit art exhibition of found photographs curated by experimental photographer, James W. Bailey, a native of Mississippi who currently resides in Reston. He has long been fascinated with found photographs and believes that these missing photographic objects rise to the level of fine art. In December of 2005 and January of 2006, Bailey will present a unique curated art exhibition in Reston featuring a donated collection of these lost photographic treasures titled, "i found your photo." The exhibition will run from Dec. 5, to January 27, 2006, at the University of Phoenix Northern Virginia Campus in Reston. The Greater Reston Art Center (GRACE) will celebrate the holiday season with the annual Art for Giving exhibition, running from Dec. 1-23. The exhibition will feature fine art and fine craft artworks by regional artists. An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1, from 6-8 p.m. All are invited to attend the reception and shop for distinctive artistic gifts and festive decorations in the main gallery exhibition and the Collector’s Shop.
