Tom Donegan, broker/owner of RE/MAX Premier, and fellow rider Bob Loy went on stage at the Norfolk Veteran's Day concert to present the first $5,000 contributed for the Ride for America's Patriots, an upcoming cross-country motorcycle ride to honor veterans wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Chantilly resident Daniel L. Moore, AIA, an architect specializing in healthcare facilities design with PSA-Dewberry, has been elected to the board of directors of Special Love Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides programs for children with cancer and their families.
Moore has been active with Special Love for many years, and PSA-Dewberry is an annual sponsor of the organization’s Camp Fantastic Golf Tournament fund-raiser, which supports Special Love’s week-long camp in Front Royal.
His work has included the design of cancer treatment facilities at several leading hospitals in the region, including Georgetown University Medical Center, the University of Virginia Health System, Washington Hospital Center and Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Commerce Bank is searching for 200 community service-oriented high school seniors for the Commerce Bank American Dream Scholarship program, which awards $200,000 annually to graduating seniors who achieve both academic excellence and serve the community.

Scholarship winners will be selected based on six criteria: academic achievement, goals and aspirations, demonstrated leadership, participation in community service activities, work experience and personal recommendations.
