The design plans for Sully Elementary School’s new science park and playground, Discovery Park, will be unveiled at Sully Elementary School Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m.
Discovery Park designer John Dean of the design firm, Leathers and Associates, will meet with Sully students to listen to their ideas for the playground.
"That morning, students will gather around the designer and share their ideas with him," Sully Elementary School PTO member Valerie Petrey said. "This really is their playground."
After listening to students ideas, Dean will spend the rest of the day designing the park at the school.
A community party will be held at Sully Elementary School that night. The preliminary plans for Discovery Park will be on display at the party. Baked goods and drinks will be provided.
