BB&T Bank Robbed Monday
<bt>Fairfax County Police are looking for information about a robbery at a Springfield Bank on Monday, Nov. 21.
A man walked into the BB&T Bank at 7000 Bland St., approached a female teller and demanded cash, according to police reports. After he received the money from the 24-year-old teller, he ran out along Amherst Avenue. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a white man, between 35 and 45 years old, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds, according to police. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt and jeans with a dark baseball cap at the time of the robbery. <sh>Gas Station Robbery
<bt>The Shell gas station in the 9800 block of Richmond Highway was robbed on Sunday, Nov. 13, according to Fairfax County Police.
A man wearing a mask entered the station around 8 p.m. and demanded the 68-year-old clerk open the cash register. The suspect took the money and fled toward Gunston Road. According to police, the suspect was described as weighing about 140 pounds and standing 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing jeans a gray jersey with the number 20 on it.
<sh>Woodbridge Woman Assaulted, Robbed
<bt>A 22-year-old Woodbridge woman was assaulted and robbed in the Franconia area on Saturday, Nov. 12, according to Fairfax County Police reports.
The woman was walking in the 6600 block of Comet Circle when two men ran up to her and assaulted her, then took her purse and ran toward Frontier Drive, police say. The suspects were described as black men in their 20s with black hair and brown eyes. One man was 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing dark loose-fitting clothing. The other man was 5 feet 10 inches tall with a goatee and braids and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants at the time.
