The 10th Herndon Handbell Celebration Concert will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 6 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 651 Dranesville Road. Over 75 ringers from Dranesville United Methodist Church, Fairfax United Methodist Church, Floris United Methodist Church, St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Trinity Presbyterian Church and United Christian Parish will participate. William A. Payne will be the guest conductor. The concert is free. A goodwill offering will be taken.
St. Thomas a Becket Church, 1421 Wiehle Ave., presents the second part of the two-part forum on facing difficult issues and decisions about the end of their life or that of a loved one. LINK churches seek volunteers to help with the annnual Thanksgiving and Christmas Basket events in Sterling and Herndon. The events supply groceries, gift certificates, used coats and toys to needy men, women and children of the area. Christ the Redeemer Church in Sterling and Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon will distribute groceries for both events. Sterling United Methodist Church in Sterling will distribute coats at Thanksgiving, Nov. 19, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Herndon United Methodist Church will distribute toys at Christmas, Dec. 19 and 20, 4 p.m.-9 p.m.
