<cal2>Some 15,000 to 20,000 motorcyclists are expected to attend the First Annual Thunder Run Motorcycle Rally from May 26-30 at the Bull Run Regional Park Special Events Center. Traffic delays may occur along Route 29 and the I-66 areas.

The Thunder Run Bull Run Jam Fest will take place on May 26, 27, 28 and 29 from 6-10 p.m. at Bull Run Regional Park's Special Events Center in Centreville. A three-day pass is $40, which covers the whole weekend. The cost for the bike show, which is Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., is $20.

The Jam Fest will have live bands including: Welbilt, Frown Upon, Lost Highway Band, The Nighthawks, Pointblank, Smylin' Jack, Rhythm Pigs, Keith Bryant, Kingsley Winter Band and Group Therapy. Sponsors are Geico, Yamaha, Coca Cola, Budweiser and Hooters. The Ice Cream Man From Hell will perform, and models from N.J. Bikini Team, Purrfect Angelz, and Lady Outlaws will be taking photographs.

The event will coincide with Rolling Thunder — the motorcycle rally where thousands of bikers descend on the Mall in Washington, D.C.

The Motorcycle Ride to the Wall is Sunday, May 29, meeting at the Fairfax County Government Center. Staging starts Sunday at 6 a.m., departing at 8:30 a.m., traveling along eastbound I-66 to the Pentagon Parking Lot in Arlington.

The second motorcycle ride will originate from Patriot Harley Davidson in the City of Fairfax on Sunday, May 29 at 9:30 a.m. and will also travel eastbound I-66 to the Pentagon.

Parking: Motorcycles may enter Bull Run Regional Park. Cars must park at the satellite parking lot, located at the NVCC Manassas branch and at the Trinity Centre parking lot near LifeTime Fitness. The calendar features reproductions of member artwork, including works in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel and photography. CRAG is offering space to local businesses and artists to list their name and contact information for a donation. In addition to the calendar listing, donating companies will receive CRAG's monthly newsletter, a link on CRAG's Web site and a "We support the local arts" window decal. The Glory Days Grill of Centreville will host a fund-raiser for Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) of Northern Virginia, donating 10 percent of SCAN guests’ bills to the organization. The Meals on Wheels program is in immediate need of volunteers to deliver meals to clients in the areas of Chantilly/Centreville. The job involves picking up meals at specified sites between 10:30 a.m. and noon and ensuring that the meals are delivered to the clients, usually by 1 p.m. Drivers can choose to deliver meals weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or to substitute as needed. Fairfax Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is recruiting community-minded citizens from diverse backgrounds to volunteer as advocates for children whose families have been cited for abuse and neglect by the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. The role of a CASA is to investigate a child's situation and to advocate for what is in the best interest of the child in court. All CASA Volunteers undergo training to prepare them for this role and no prior experience in child welfare is required.
