A new church, luxury townhouses and a dog park are all on tap for the next meeting of the West Fairfax County Citizens Association (WFCCA) Land-Use Committee. The group will meet Tuesday, May 17, at 7 p.m. in the Sully District Governmental Center, 4900 Stonecroft Blvd. in Chantilly. The cases are as follows:
* The Knolls of Newgate apartments are to be torn down. And in their place, Landmark Communities will build luxury townhomes with garages. They'll be two floors over two floors, and each townhouse will be about 2,000 square feet. Information will be presented about the project.
* An off-leash dog park is proposed on three acres of Quinn Farm Park in Centreville. Some 65,000 square feet will be enclosed by a black, chainlink fence. Hours of operation will be dawn to dusk.
* Korean Central Presbyterian Church will give another presentation of its proposal to build a place of worship, nursery school, private school and associated uses on nearly 80 acres of residential-conservation land, along Route 29 in Centreville, next to Bull Run Elementary.
* Centreville Animal Hospital hopes to expand its existing animal hospital along Route 29 in Centreville, near the Bent Tree Apartments.
* A residential community called The Courts at Riverwind is being proposed. It would consist of 12 townhouses on 1.7 acres on ODay Drive, off Stone Road in Centreville. The parcel requires the county's OK for a rezoning from one home per acre to eight homes per acre.
* In addition, Judy Heisinger, chairman of the WFCCA's Transportation Committee, will review the committee's recommendations to the WFCCA, which will then consider them for approval.
