Creating a reverse playroom, where the children were smaller than the trucks they were playing with, the Department of Public Works opened its doors to welcome the community for Big Trucks Week.
As a precursor to the May 16-20 National Public Works Week, children and their parents were able to get a first-hand look at the machinery that plows snow and dirt.
This year the department — which has held Big Trucks Week since 1999 — set out dump trucks, a bulldozer and other machinery for children to crawl into and around.
