Gala Attracts Full House

Guests enjoy evening for Good Shepherd Housing.

It was a full house for the annual Good Shepherd Housing (GSH) Gala held at the Mount Vernon Country Club; 170 guests attended.

Special guests included Gerry Connolly, chairman, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors; Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland; and state Sen. Linda “Toddy” Puller (D-36) were there as well. Brett Barkey and Colette Durst-Barkey served as Gala Committee co-chairs.

Guest enjoyed cocktails, dancing, dinner and live and silent auctions. GSH Board Treasurer John Murray was the auctioneer and kept the audience laughing. The “Nitehawks,” an 11-piece band, played music for dancing.

The gala netted over $45,000, money which will be used for GSH programs.

“The turnout and funds raised from this event speak volumes about the noble work being done at Good Shepherd,” said Kahan Singh Dhillon, Jr., member of GSH’s Finance and Gala Committee, who attended the gala with former CNN anchor, Patti Tripathi. “I commend the entire organization and my fellow colleagues on the Gala Committee for putting on such a successful event. The event encompassed representation from all spectrums of our community and on behalf of my firm Regent Company, LLC we were pleased to be one of the sponsors for the event. Keep up the great work, onward and upward.”
