A man dressed in women's clothing attempted to rob a bank Tuesday, April 19 in Sterling.
The suspect, described as a 6 feet 3 inches tall black male, walked into the Washington First Bank in the Cedar Lake Plaza shortly after 3 p.m. adorned in a flowered dress, a dark wig, a purse and white gloves. The suspect allegedly handed a note to the teller and he implied that he had a weapon
but left without taking any money.
The suspect fled the scene in what is described as dark colored passenger car.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating the case in conjunction with the FBI.
