The Trumpet Vine Theatre Company at Theater on the Run will give preview performances of its upcoming play, "Hidden: A Gender," on Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1 at 8 p.m. The play, written by playwright, author and performance artist Kate Bornstein, offers a satirical examination of gender formation. Arlington Artist Alliance hosts a week full of Art this spring with ArtFest 2005. The events, workshops, demonstrations and performances will be held from Friday, April 1, to Friday, April 8, at Fort C.F. Smith, in and around historic Hendry House, at 2411 N. 24th St. Opening the festivities will be Friday night's reception and multimedia exhibit of works by some of the area's most prominent artists and art teachers. "The Music Box" runs April 16-24 and uses physical comedy and music to tell short stories of a mischievous mask, an invisible wall, two cowboys in the Wild West and road workers trying to catch a butterfly.

The American Century Theater celebrates its 10th season by performing Orson Welles' "Moby Dick Rehearsed," the play that first gained the company widespread fame. The show runs March 24-April 30.
