There were high rollers and some low rollers, but all seemed to enjoy the blackjack, craps and roulette tables set up for The 2005 Angel Gala — "The Kings of Vegas." Held at the Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City, about 250 people attended the annual fund-raiser for the Campagna Center.
The silent auction tables were filled with items to bid on, from paintings to gift certificates to trips. There was also the collection of fur coats and accessories from Henig Furs. Mystique Fine Jewelers once again donated the item for the jewel raffle. Cocktails were served throughout the evening, and guests enjoyed a buffet of cheeses, grilled vegetables, turkey, roast beef and other accompaniments.
Erica Baum received The Barbara Pratt Lee Heart of Gold Award for her volunteer work with The Campagna Center Junior Friends. Also honored were Joseph P. Brennan and J. Alden Philbrick IV with The Golden Halo Award; this was in recognition of their organization of an annual golf outing that has raised more than a quarter million dollars for the center’s programs.
