Officials from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department unveiled Fire Boat 420 on Wednesday, June 22, at Pohick Bay Regional Park. Christened the Gunston Hall, after the home of Fairfax patriot George Mason, the 36-foot aluminum boat is equipped with twin-turbo charged Cummins engines, a 1,750 gallon per minute pump and a trio of remote mounted deluge guns. Although the boat is associated with Pohick Station 20, it will patrol 139 miles of riverside along the Potomac River.
