The Potomac Farmer's Market opened for the season June 2 at Potomac Presbyterian Church, 10301 River Road. The market will be open Thursdays 1-4 p.m. through October.
"Over the years it's become very successful," said Judith Lesser, market master and a local farmer. All of the vendors grow or bake their own goods and are based in Maryland and Virginia.
Lesser said that right now the market is offering mostly spring foods, such as root vegetables, berries, and herbs, but that starting this month summer produce like tomatoes and corn will be in abundance.
