Most activities at the Bells Mill bash moved inside as rain fell through last Friday afternoon. That didn’t stop dozens of students from joining a pickup soccer game on the school playground.
Fifth-graders Cody Ayels and Michael Gauch took a rest from the soccer game, but stayed outside. “It’s more fun to play soccer in the rain than in sunshine,” Michael said.
“It gets down and dirty,” said Cody.
Inside, there was plenty of good, clean fun for Bells Mill Elementary students, alums and families at the annual Bells Mill Bash on Friday, June 3.
Students danced the “Cha-Cha” or stretched through an inflatable Twister game in Bells Mill’s multipurpose room. Other activities, like the face-painting table, moon bounce and cotton candy stand, were a few steps in front of the school — out in the fresh air, but under shelter from the rain.
