Providing an opportunity for people to experience life on a farm and an opportunity to buy farm-fresh products, Montgomery County will host the 2005 Farm Tour and Harvest Sale this Saturday, July 23, with some farms participating on Sunday, July 24, 2005 as well. The tour and sale on both days will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Since this event will take place rain or shine, some events and activities at the farms may be delayed or cancelled if rain occurs.

The Farm Tour provides an opportunity for people to purchase fresh fruits, flowers, plants, and much more. Several farms have hayrides, pony rides, music, demonstrations and other fun activities planned for people of all ages. Spend a day or two in the country petting farm animals or having lunch by a scenic pond. It’s an educational experience and a great family day outing.

To see a list of the farms participating and a map of the tour route, please log onto www.montgomerycountymd.gov/agservices or for additional information you can call 301-590-2823.
