At the Potomac Area Swim League Relay Carnival, racing is only half the fun. The other part is cheering on teammates and getting in to the festive, not-too-compititve spirit of the meet with signs, T-shirts and special outfits. Of particular note were a slew of sometimes-outrageous hats, with Potomac Swim and Tennis swimmers leading the pack.
