Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Emerson Whitney of Warrenton, Va. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Caroline, to Seth Allen Wolford, of Front Royal, Va. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Allen Wolford, of Manassas Park, Va. A July 2005 wedding is planned.
Miss Whitney is the sister of Callie Whitney of Boone, N.C. and the niece of Dennis and Ronda Davis of Asheville, N.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Frederick Carr of Alexandria, Mrs. Betty Ann Hughey of Manassas, Va., and Mr. William Emerson Whitney of Lady Lake, Florida. She is also the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Ann Peckham and the late George Roy McGee of Enid, Oklahoma, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julian Carnegie Adcock and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Metteauer Carr of Oxford, N.C. Miss Whitney is a graduate of James Madison University and is currently completing her master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education at James Madison University.
Mr. Wolford is the brother of Rebekah Wolford Gasiorowski of Corpus Christi, Texas and Sarah Wolford of Dallas Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Harter Wolford of State College, Penn. and Mrs. Lila Jean Myers and the late Charles Buchanan Myers of Taveres, Fla. Mr. Wolford is a graduate of H. M. King High School in Kingsville, Texas and is an elevator constructor with ThyssenKrupp Elevator.
