Help for Hurts, Habits and Hang-Ups – A Celebrate Recovery Group. Passion for Community, in cooperation with New Life Christian Church, is launching a second meeting time and place for the Celebrate Recovery ministry. The new “Life Support” group uses Celebrate Recovery coupled with 12-step and Hunger for Healing teachings to help overcome or cope with all types of addictions, compulsions, and life wounds. The group will meet at 7 p.m. each Friday evening starting Friday, Jan. 14 at the New Life Christian Church office, 4211 Pleasant Valley Road, Chantilly. Chantilly Bible Church's new program: MOMS – Do you think spaghetti is a finger food, do you sleep "like a baby" (up at 12, 2 and 4), do you write your grocery list in crayon? Chantilly Bible Church is beginning a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program for all mothers with children from birth through kindergarten. The program includes a relaxing morning with food, fellowship, and encouragement while your child(ren) have fun in the Children's Program. This program will begin Tuesday, Jan. 18 from 9:30 - 11:45 a.m. at 4390 Pleasant Valley Road, Chantilly. Registration began Nov. 21 and can be done by signing up in person at Chantilly Bible Church or by printing the forms at www.ChantillyBible.org and mailing them to Chantilly Bible Church.

All high school students are invited to an informal Bible Study each Wednesday night following the 7 p.m. Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church. The group is studying the Gospel of St. Luke this year.

Authentic Masculinity Workshop — New Life Christian Church hosts the Authentic Masculinity Workshop at its church training center, 4211 Pleasant Valley Road, Chantilly, each Monday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The workshop is a fun and creative video-based group which helps guys discover their true masculine identity and become the kind of men, husbands, and fathers God wants them to be. New Life Christian Church is starting a new message series, “Old School Faith.” The messages will examine the faith demonstrated by various people as described in the Old Testament of the Bible. New Life meets at 9:30 and 11 a.m. each Sunday morning at Westfield High School. The same messages are also presented at Westfield at 11 a.m. in a “video venue” format at the “New Life Café.” The Café is a less formal coffee-house type setting featuring free gourmet coffee and pastries and an acoustic band.

C.O.O.P., "Children of Older Parents," a community ministry of Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, 14640 Soucy Place, Centreville, meets on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Caregivers of older adults are welcome to join. Yvonne Knauff is the group facilitator and is a family nurse practitioner who has extensive experience working with older adults and their caregivers.
