Northrop Grumman Corporation's information technology sector, headquartered in Herndon, has recently been awarded or completed the following contracts:
* U.S. General Services Administration to provide system engineering and program support for the U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command and Naval
Oceanographic Office. The task order is valued at $38.9 million over five years.
* The county of Roanoke, Va., to design and build a new public-safety facility and install several upgraded public-safety systems designed to improve the county's existing systems as well as increase their efficiency. The contract value is $26 million more than 27 months.
* The U.S. Department of Justice has awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide information technology services that will help the department improve its operations. The IT sector, and 11 other companies, will compete for task orders valued up to $980 million. This contract has one base year and six one-year options with an option to extend to an additional five months after the sixth option year.
* Completed the installation of a 9-1-1 computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system designed to provide swift and coordinated access to police, fire and emergency medical services for the military community of Oahu, Hawaii.
* U.S. Army to provide support for the Tactical Simulation (TACSIM) intelligence training system that trains commanders, intelligence staffs, collection managers and analysts to effectively use intelligence information in military operations. The two-year contract is valued at $9.2 million.
* To install a 9-1-1 computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system to enhance public safety service and response for the U.S. Navy in the east Puget Sound, Wash., region. The contract is valued at $4.4 million over two years with five one-year options.
