<sh>Accident on Wiehle
<bt>An '89 Toyota Camry lost control on Friday night, Jan. 7 around 5 p.m., and crashed head on into a '99 Infinity, according to police. The crash happened on Wiehle Avenue, near the intersection with Inlet Court. The driver of the Camry, a 17-year-old male, is cited with failure to keep the vehicle under control. Bud Walker, the public affairs officer with the Fairfax County Police Department, said three individuals were hospitalized. The driver of the Infinity was a 37-year-old female.
<sh>Charity Money Raised
<bt>More than $1,300,000 was raised at Reston Town Center in 2004 by local charities and not-for-profit groups, according to Equity Office Properties. Large not-for-profit organizations such as the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition the American Diabetes Association each raised $80,000 at Reston Town Center events. Multiple Sclerosis and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society both raised over $430,000 at their events. Altogether, 15 not-for-profits held events at the Pavillion. Equity Office also sponsored some of its annual events, of which the Pet Fiesta raised $1,000 for Reston dogs, Autumn Adventure raised $6,000 for Reston Interfaith, and a weeklong ice-skating fund-raiser raised $2,600 for the Reston Character Counts! Coalition.
<sh>Chamber Heads to Richmond
<bt>The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce will be in Richmond on Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Chamber will participate in the "Chamber Day at the Capitol: See the Legislative Process in Action." The chamber is expected to meet with other chambers from around the state, and to be addressed by Gov. Mark Warner, Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine, Attorney General Jerry Kilgore, Speaker William Howell, Del. Ken Plum, and Sen. Janet Howell. There will also be an opportunity to watch the House and/or the Senate in action from the gallery or make time for one-on-one legislative visits. <sh>Cluster and Condo Finances
<bt>The Reston Association is sponsoring a workshop on cluster and condo finances on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m., in the conference room located at 1930 Isaac Newton Square. Guests presenters from Goldklang, Cavanuagh & Associates will review budgets, audits, taxes and reserves studies for homeowner associations.

<bt>Kate Hanley, the former chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, has been named director of the Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE), according to Myers Public Relations.
