Kitchen and Bath Seminar. Reico Kitchen & Bath is offering a free, do-it-yourself seminar to share creative ideas, design trends and installation tips. The event takes place Saturday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m.-noon, at Reico’s Falls Church showroom, 7500-B Leesburg Pike. The seminar will address how to plan for the remodeling process, including forming a budget, working with a designer and learning what to expect during the installation; the basics of kitchen design with ideas to maximize space; trends in kitchen ideas; and product options and what to think about when choosing cabinetry, surfaces, appliances, plumbing fixtures and other kitchen products.

The group cruised for a two-hour luncheon on the Potomac River, taking in the sites of the Potomac's historic shoreline and winding up the afternoon with dancing led by Virgil, the DJ.

The McLean Center Office of Weichert, Realtors recently contributed $600 to the American International Red Cross's Asian Tsunami Response Fund, taking part in a fund-raising event sponsored by the Asian Fortune newspaper.
McLean/Dolley Madison sales associate Dewita Soeharjono was a member of the event's organizing committee and spearheaded the office's collection.
The event took place Jan. 15 at the Fort Myer Activities Center in Arlington. More than 300 people attended. It featured cultural performances representing different countries, a spread of food, a silent auction and a special tribute to families who lost loved ones in the tsunami tragedy.
A minimum $20 donation was suggested, and all the items featured there were donated by various concerned organizations and citizens. A total of $40,000 for the Red Cross efforts was raised at the event, which was attended by several Virginia elected officials including Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine, U.S. Jim Moran (D-8) and U.S. Rep Bobby Scott (D-3).
