Hayfield Secondary students taking anatomy and physiology recently viewed a quadruple bybass heart surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital. The students watched through a clear dome, looking directly down at the operation. Monitors in the room allowed a view of the surgery, while a nurse explained each step and passed around samples of the equipment being used.
